Below you will find a variety of multimedia tools I have become proficient in using. I hope my passion and creativity for integrating assistive technologies comes alive as I connect my personal experiences with my professional practices. These pieces of work paint a picture of myself as a leader in educational technology. They exemplify my desire to understand how students learn and achieve academic success.
Personal Learning NetworksDuring my graduate study, we learned the importance of building a personal network. With the ways of the web, there are abundant resources I have become proficient in to exponentially increase my PLN. Below you will find a PowerPoint on PNLs in the classroom and a Prezi of my personal plan for growing my PNL. You will also find a link to my Developer's Notebook and final reflection of my course designing experience. (You will find the online design under the next column: Operations with Scientific Notation) The last part of this column includes resources that I have subscribed to and use regularly to support my plan.

Independent Online Learning ToolsIndependent online learning tools are intended for students to be able to navigate and complete without or with minimal assistance from others. This takes careful planning and designing to have a fluid lesson, project, or course. The first link connects you to a STAIR project involving a real-world lesson on representing rational numbers. The second link is attached to an entire online unit using the course management system, Coursesites. I included asynchronous and synchronous learning strategies to teach about operations with scientific notation. The last two links are Educreations videos that I used to implement the flipped classroom model. Students watch a video of the instruction at home, which allows us to maximize class time.
