Graduate Work
"Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success!" Henry Ford
Certificate of Mathematics
Radford University
Similar to my masters degree program, my certificate program functions completely online. We have a dedicated weekly class time and attend via Adobe Connect. We participate in live lectures and small group activities.
During my Euclidean & Non-Euclidean Geometry class, we were able to discover how the sphere changes the way we think about geometry from the traditional planar prospective. To the right you can see the Lénárt Sphere we used often to explore how the properties of figures on a sphere relate to a plane. We also worked in partners to create a Performance Based Learning and Assessment Task for a middle school math class. Beach House PBA |
Masters of Arts in Educational Technology
Michigan State University
As shown on my Annotated Script page, my graduate classes varied in content. They also varied instructional style. Every course was completed online, but not in the traditional sense. We rarely watched lectures. The classes included the use of different learning management systems, which required us to access the information at our own pace. We watched short videos, read articles, and completed collaborative assignments through Google Docs. Below you will find recordings of some of my final projects on student learning.
